Eurozone’s economy is close to stagnation
The latest Eurozone’s data shows that the economy of the region is close to stagnation at the beginning of the fourth trimester. Demand on goods and services declined for the second month in a row. Weak services sector growth was accompanied by the sharp decline in manufacturing. Expectations have fallen to the lowest since 2013.
European Central Bank made no changes in monetary policy
The ECB has decided to leave the monetary policy unchanged on Thursday. This was the last meeting for Mario Draghi as the head of the central bank. The situation remained unchanged for the whole period of his governance. Draghi did all he could in order to save the monetary union, but the situation is still dangerous.
