A huge work on the Meta Trader4 clients’ terminal improvement has been done since the last Build 610 release. A programming language of the MQL4 trading strategies has undergone the major changes – the processing speed has been increased and the language itself has become to the utmost close to MQL5. It means that all advantages of OOP, such as classes and structures, inheritance, Standard library, resources and many other things, have become available to the trading robots on MQL4 developers. 

The new editor MetaEditor will provide you with such conveniences as the debug, profiling, personal storage, and function names auto expand, snippet, resources insertion and code intelligent management. 

There is the Market – protected applications market for the MetaTrader 4 terminal in the new MetaTrader 4 terminal. Now, any developer can display for sale own development for trading and market analysis on the unified platform, and traders can buy the product they like just from the terminal. All application files downloaded from the Market EX 4 have the high level of protection.

Since there are changes in the file structure and location of the directory for user’s files (indicators, advisors, scripts, patterns, logs, etc.) storage, the automatic copying of these data to the new location, called terminal data directory, will occur during the update process. This directory is situated on the system disk (the disk on which the Windows operating system is installed) via the following route:

C:\Users\name_account\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\Instance_id

No user’s files will be deleted during the copying process; all original files will not be removed as well, actually becoming the reserved copies.
